WAR VETERAN DIES OF HUNTING ACCIDENT

COLUMBIA Tenn.. Dec. 30

---William Virgil Watson, 37, farmer and World War

veteran, died at King’s Daughters' hospital here at

2 o'clock this morning from a gunshot wound received

Monday while on a hunting trip.

Watson was shot accidentally by his cousin and

hunting companion, Fitzhugh Watson, 33.

Watson, a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian

Church, was widely known here. He was a native of

Maury county.

Among his survivors are his widow, one child, and

a brother, Fred Watson.

Funeral services will he held at 11 o'clock

Wednesday morning at home of his parents,

Mr. and Mrs. L. S. Watson, at Park's Mill.
